Pin Loom weaving looks like great fun!
These small looms can be taken anywhere. The possibilities with these looms are endless. You can make blankets, scarves, shawls, coasters, placemats, etc...
Check out these websites and resources to get you started. Pin looms are also very affordable and enjoyable to weave on!

So, what can you make on a Zoom Loom anyway? The first thing I made were coasters. They lay flat on table and make great gifts. I made a set of 4 Candy Corn coasters for my Mom!

My next present was a turtle for my 18 yr old son. He loved turtles before they were cool, not just because the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie came out.

He is made with 4 green squares for his back and 4 purple squares for his belly. I made 4 brown squares for his legs and one more green square for his head. I used 100% wool and a top loading washing machine to felt him down.

With the holidays upon us I wanted to make a Christmas ornament.

This is one square with 3 colors. The first row is green, the second is maroon and the the third and weaving strand with cream. Gently tie the two tails together as you change colors. Later, go back and undo knots and weave in tails. Holding two sides together, I single crocheted them together. And then went around the top single crochet, chain 3 around. When I got to the middle of the cone, I chained 20 and continued around with SC, Ch 3 until the end. If you do not like the look of the red SC going up the middle, you can sew the seams together on the inside by turning it inside out after hand sewing  them together.

Many things can be placed in this little basket as it hangs on a Christmas Tree such as coins, candy, small gifts like earrings or a $2.00 bill. It would be fun to make each family member one and on Christmas Eve hide a little present in there for them to find on Christmas Day.

You could also make a 4 square for a May Day basket to hang on a Neighbors door with some flowers or a gift inside. 4 squares could also be used to make the same size felted ornaments.

There are so many creations that you can do with a Zoom Loom. You can piece together scarves, placemats, table runners, napkin holders, baby blankets. Check the blog on the sidebar called Schacht Spindle Co. On their blog, search Zoom Loom. They have so many examples on their site.

Mostly, be creative and have fun weaving!
