- Size 10 or size 5 cotton thread and or embroidery thread or finger weight wool or other fibers. All can be found at local craft stores. Redheart and Bernat.
- I recommend using the 10" cricket rather than an inkle loom. One reason is that direct peg warping works well. You can also have a longer warp if you want to. When using an inkle loom, you are limited to its length size. Here is a YouTube video that will show you how. She is warping onto. 25" Flip loom but it can easily be done on the cricket or other rigid heddle loom.

INKLE:
If you want to make bands for things such as belts, purse straps and guitar straps you may want to purchase an inkle loom. The Inkle Weavers directory book will tell you that you can make inkle bands on your rigid heddle loom.Here are a couple of resources to get you started!

If you haven't signed up for Ravelry yet, I encourage everyone to do so. Simply click on the Ravelry link on the sidebar, create a username and password. It's free and easy. Once on the home page you can hit the tab that says Groups and look for weaving groups. It's a great way to see other projects, post your own, ask advice. People will help you by answering any questions you may have.
